Bluey and Bingo return to Ipswich's Nicholas Street Precinct for the Easter school holidays.

Ipswich, prepare to go into ‘Dance Mode’ as Bluey and Bingo return to Nicholas Street Precinct during a fun-filled Easter school holidays across the city.

Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding said the world’s favourite blue heeler siblings will perform three shows each day from Tuesday, 7 April to Friday, 10 April at the Tulmur Place stage.

“Bluey and Bingo are bringing the playful antics of the Heeler house to our city centre for the first time since 2022,” Mayor Harding said.

“I can’t wait to see Nicholas Street Precinct alive with the joy and laughter of children playing along to Magic Asparagus, Magic Xylophone, Keepy-Uppy and so much more.

“There will be three 20-minute high-energy shows at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm over the four days, as well as market stalls and all the fantastic dining and entertainment offerings throughout Nicholas Street Precinct.

“This free, interactive experience is one of the many events and activities being held by Ipswich City Council during the Easter school holidays.”

Bluey and Bingo dazzled crowds when they last visited Nicholas Street Precinct in 2022.

Mayor Harding said Ipswich children can learn and play at activities hosted by Ipswich Libraries, Active and Healthy and Ipswich Art Gallery.

“We’re encouraging Ipswich children to pursue their interests these school holidays,” Mayor Harding said.

“With hands-on workshops and creative experiences for children of all ages, Ipswich Libraries’ holiday program offers something for every curious mind – from robotics and cartooning to origami, music production and animal-themed sessions.

Ipswich Art Gallery’s LightPlay activation from 28 March is a dazzling display of luminosity, where science and art meet with a series of kaleidoscopic exhibits encouraging interaction with light and shade.

“It won’t just be brains getting a workout, but bodies too, with Active Kids returning with more than 70 free and low-cost classes throughout 22 suburbs between 4 and 19 April across a range of sports and activities.

“This huge program features popular sports such as soccer, AFL, basketball and cricket, but also offers an introduction to European handball, boccia, pickleball, parkour and more, as well as activities including Pilates, fishing, hip hop dancing, circus and roller-skating.”
