Dogs on patrol at Walloon

Connections were forged and plenty of fun was had when the Ipswich District Crime Prevention Unit’s popular Dogs on Patrol event stopped by Walloon.

The initiative gives the community tips to stay safe while walking their dogs and advice on how they can help fight crime by taking note of any suspicious persons or activities they may see out and about on their daily walk.

The latest Dogs on Patrol event was held at Henry Lawson Bicentennial Park, with participants enjoying a range of doggy activities, coffee and a sausage sizzle.

Volunteers in Policing were also on hand to engrave dog tags.

Queensland Police Service dog Cozza and handler Senior Constable Ray proved particularly popular.

Division 10 Councillor David Pahlke and Member for Ipswich West Jim Madden also stopped by.
