Jefferson Steel, an ageing, out of work, vain, Hollywood action hero is desperate to revive his flagging career. When he arrives in England to play King Lear in Stratford he believes has landed the role of a lifetime … only to discover he has committed to star as King Lear for a dramatic society in Stratford St. John, a sleepy English village in Suffolk.
