Tech time: Makers toolbox

Learn about the range of free art tools and applications available within the online creative community that can take your artwork to the next level. These sessions will also include a Virtual Reality Tilt Brush art experience. Suitable for 15+ years.

Story time at Bunnings

Ipswich Libraries is bringing stories, songs, rhymes and other fun activities to Bunnings Warehouse. Bring the littlies along to the DIY area, next to the indoor playground, and join in.

Learn Office: Word, Excel and Powerpoint

This three-week course will take you through learning the basics of Microsoft Office. Understand how to create documents, spreadsheets and fancy slide shows using Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Week 2 looks at calculating with Excel, including understanding spread sheet cells, calculating multiple cells together, creating different types of charts, and quick keyboard and mouse tricks.

Built for Speed

Design, build and race your Lego hot rod, dragster or supercar down rad ramps and slick tracks. Modify your ride for extra speed then re-race your turbocharged wheels for ultimate victory.

Kids workshops at Redbank Plaza

Workshops for children aged two to five are held at Redbank Plaza each Tuesday and Thursday. Children can enjoy fun, energetic, exciting sports based activity sessions. The sessions are designed to promote play-based learning. Places are limited, more info here.

National Apology event at USQ

The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) will commemorate the 10th anniversary of former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s formal apology to the Stolen Generation with a National Apology event at its Springfield campus. The event will reflect on the injustices of the past and commit to a renewed and continuing journey towards reconciliation. It will include a viewing of Kevin Rudd’s historic apology to Australia’s First Peoples and special guest Aunty Rhonda Collard-Spratt (pictured) will speak about life as a mission child of the Stolen Generations.

Learn tribal bellydance

Take an hour out of your busy week and give tribal bellydance a try. Classes are for women 15 and above. Tribal bellydance helps strengthen your core and is great fun. More info on 0409 414 151.
