Ipswich pub unveils new restaurant

Ipswich’s Racehorse Hotel has unveiled a new restaurant,
The Grillhouse, complete with contemporary fit-out,

a fresh menu and a whole new wine list.

The Grillhouse offers modern dining in with seating both indoors and out. By night, suspended over-sized copper pendant lighting over the main dining area, and fairy lights over the deck outside, impart a welcoming ambience.

The menu includes grain-fed grazier’s cuts on the steak listing but also modern dining crowd-pleasers such as pan-fried barramundi, chicken schnitzel, an Angus beef ragu (pictured) and Portuguese roast chicken.

A clean, green list offers up healthy fare dotted with many vegan and gluten free options including a Buddha bowl and a loaded baked potato (pictured).

The Grillhouse is the first such restaurant in Queensland under the ALH group of hotels, following successful launches already in Melbourne and Sydney.

The Racehorse Hotel at 215 Brisbane Road, Booval, is also known for its huge sports bar with giant screen where crowds of up to 700 are lured to an impressive ongoing stream of touring artists.

Upcoming shows for the rest of 2018 include Comedian Alex Williamson on November 2, Troy Kinne on November 16, and a double bill, 1927 & Pseudo Echo, on December 1.

The Grillhouse is open daily with all-day dining Friday to Sunday.
