Nicholas St update: New library continues to emerge with roof installation

Construction of the new library's roof in progress.

A major focus this week for crews working on the Nicholas St redevelopment has been the installation of the roof and frame for the new library.

The structure continues to rapidly take shape and work is also progressing on the installation of the future lifts and stairwells from the car park.

Crews working on the civic plaza section of the project have completed the demolition of the frame of the former Woolworths loading dock.

Work continues at Nicholas St.

This allowed for construction to begin on the future deck bar, with the concrete foundations poured.

The new council administration building continues to go ahead in leaps and bounds.

About 110 workers are currently on site at the Nicholas St redevelopment.
