The Ipswich Nature Centre in Ipswich’s historical Queens Park offers a magical opportunity to get up close and personal with Australian native wildlife.

Stroll through shady walkways and see the cute residents such as wombats, wallabies, emus, quolls, and a nocturnal bilby exhibit.

A vibrant rainforest bird aviary is alive with colour and sound, and youngsters will have a ball in the barn which has calves, lambs, chickens and peacocks.

Open seven days a week during School holidays and near the Japanese Nerima Gardens within Queens Park, the Ipswich Nature Centre is perfect family-friendly fun.

Animal Encounters offer a chance to get behind the scenes at the Nature Centre and will run on July 1, 3, 5, 8, 10 and 12.

The tours give you the chance to learn about the centre, what goes into caring for wildlife and a chance to feed the barnyard animals.

Switch Bricks is a pop up play space in Ipswich built with LEGO loving kids in mind.

There are so many different kinds of building activities on offer in every three hour session.

It will only be around for six days during these school holidays from July 1-6.

Burtons Circus is coming to town.

Be entertained by a two-hour production that boasts acrobats, aerial artistry, clown antics, and Double Wheel of Destiny.

The first designed for mums and daughters (aged 11 and above) will be held on July 6.
