A tasty festival heading to Ipswich

Ipswich’s Indian Mehfil restaurant brings Bollywood glam to the heart of the city in a night of celebration on 4 November, 2018.

Diwali Festival of Lights is a Hindu festival celebrated every autumn in the northern hemisphere – and in spring down here in the south – and the Ipswich event has become a much-anticipated annual party in recent years.

Tables are set up on the grassed area of d’Arcy Doyle Place and diners enjoy a night of colourful and spirited feasting, dancing and music under the stars.

Indian Mehfil is a well known and loved Ipswich restaurant located in a beautiful old heritage building next to the Ipswich Art Gallery.

It offers an extensive menu of traditional Indian dishes and is a sibling restaurant to Mehfil CBD in Brisbane and also Mehfil Taringa.

Indian Mehfil, at 116 Brisbane St, is open for lunch from Sunday to Friday and for dinner seven nights. Tickets to the festival are $55 for adults and $20 for children aged 7-14 (children under 7 free). Book on 3211 7354.
