Community help needed to redesign Richardson Park

Now’s your chance to have your say on the design of the Richardson Park Playground and help council turn the park which overlooks the Brisbane River at Brisbane Terrace Goodna, into an exciting and colourful adventure playground for Ipswich’s youngest residents to enjoy.

Round one of community consultation is now open via Shape Your Ipswich, with council asking residents to share their ideas and concepts for Richardson Park.

Deputy Mayor and Division 2 Councillor Nicole Jonic said it is an exciting time for council and the community.

“As we embark on this design process as a community, I am excited to see what ideas our community puts forward for Richardson Park,” Cr Jonic said.

“I encourage residents to take part in round one of the community consultation process and tell us what equipment and features they would like to see in the new playground.”

Division 2 Councillor Paul Tully said community feedback will help council gather valuable community insight.

“As we grow to a population of half a million, it’s more important than ever that we have two-way conversations between council and the community on important projects like Richardson Park,” Cr Tully said.

“Your ideas and input are so important and help ensure council facilities and parks meet community needs.

“The more residents we hear from about what you want for your city, the better the outcomes for the city of Ipswich.”
