Council meeting dates set for 2023

Council has set its calendar of meetings for 2023.

Governance and Transparency Committee Chairperson Deputy Mayor Councillor Jacob Madsen said the updated calendar of meetings will be made available at Ipswich.qld.gov.au

“Council ordinary meetings and committee meetings are an important part of the democratic process and provide an opportunity for the community to see their council at work,” Cr Madsen said.

“Council meetings are held once a month on a Thursday, with a round of committee meetings held prior to each council meeting.”

Ipswich City Council meetings are held in council chambers at council’s administration centre at 1 Nicholas Street and are open for the community to attend.

Meetings are also live-streamed and can be watched back on replay via council’s YouTube channel.

In 2023, council meetings have been scheduled for the following dates:

  • 19 January
  • 23 February
  • 23 March
  • 27 April
  • 25 May
  • 22 June
  • 27 July
  • 24 August
  • 14 September
  • 26 October
  • 23 November
  • 7 December

Council meetings begin at 9am, except for the 22 June meeting, which will start at 1pm.

A special meeting for the adoption of council’s 2023-2024 Budget has been set for 9am on 22 June, 2023.

Council committee meetings will be held from 9am on the following dates:

  • 9 February
  • 9 March
  • 18 April
  • 11 May
  • 8 June
  • 13 July
  • 10 August
  • 5 September
  • 12 October
  • 9 November
  • 28 November
