Dust off your boots! CMC Rocks QLD is back for 2024

Australia’s leading country music festival, CMC Rocks QLD, is returning to Ipswich from Friday 15 March to Sunday 17 March, 2024.

Willowbank Raceway will host another sensational event headlined by the world’s hottest international and local country music superstars, with a full artist line-up to be announced in the coming months.

Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding said the city was excited to once again welcome back CMC Rocks QLD, one of Ipswich’s major events that give a huge boost to the region, injecting millions of dollars into Ipswich’s economy.

“Ipswich has cemented itself as the home of country music and CMC Rocks QLD. We are thrilled to welcome international artists and visitors from all over the country to kick their heels up here in Ipswich,” Mayor Harding said.

“CMC Rocks QLD is one of Ipswich’s major events for the year and we are proud to be a major sponsor and supporter of live music.

“We have hosted the festival since 2015 and since then we’ve seen the reputation and popularity of the event grow and grow, helping to put the city on the map and contributing about $11 million to our local economy each year.”

Economic and Industry Development Committee Chairperson Councillor Nicole Jonic said CMC Rocks helped to increase Ipswich’s profile and tourism industry.

“CMC Rocks grows in ticket sales year to year, topping 23,000 in 2023 compared to 22,000 in 2022, with 90 per cent of ticket buyers from outside the city – it’s a major contributor to our local economy,” Cr Jonic said.

“This is the southern hemisphere’s largest international country music festival and it generates more than 61,000 visitor nights in Ipswich, attracting about 19,000 visitors to this beautiful city.

“These festivalgoers stay in our hotels and eat at our cafes and restaurants, sharing their experiences with all their friends and family, so it’s a great chance for Ipswich to showcase all we have to offer.”

Chugg Entertainment Chairman Michael Chugg said March was a highlight of the year for the CMC Rocks community.

“We can’t wait to get back out to Ipswich next year, and you better believe we’ll be turning the heat up again in 2024,” Mr Chugg said.

CMC Rocks QLD continues to cement its place as Australia’s most significant country music event through featuring notable artists such as Luke Combs, Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, The Chicks, Morgan Wallen, Zac Brown Band and Kip Moore.
