How you can help bring essential services to Ipswich’s doorstep

Want to know how you can help bring more essential services to Ipswich’s doorstep?

Ipswich City Council has partnered with the Ipswich Hospital Foundation Park2Park, presented by University of Southern Queensland, for the 17th annual run for research which will be held on Sunday 25 July.

All you need to do is register to run or walk the 2.5km, 5km, 10km or Half Marathon which will help raise funds for West Moreton Health and Ipswich Hospital Foundation so that they can become a tertiary hospital.

Mayor Teresa Harding said the event is a great opportunity to support local healthcare.

“West Moreton Health and Ipswich Hospital Foundation provide world-class services to our community,” Mayor Harding said.

“The transition to a tertiary hospital would be another step forward for Ipswich, as we welcome an additional 325,000 residents by 2041.

“Park2Park is not only a great day out, it will also help fund local research and bring better care closer to home for our community.”

For those who can’t make it on the day, a Virtual Event will take place between Saturday 17 to 31 July.

Those who take part in the Virtual Event or Main Event will receive an official Park2Park cap and finisher’s medal.

Family entertainment, stalls, food and refreshments will be available on the day at the revamped Park2Park Mall.
