The Beautiful Noise – The Life & the Music of Neil Diamond takes the audience on an emotional and dynamic journey through both the music and life of Neil Leslie Diamond as he tells the stories behind the songs.

The Beautiful Noise features many of Diamond’s greatest hits including Cherry Cherry, Crunchy Granola Suite, Song Sung Blue, Holly Holy, America, Sweet Caroline, I Am I Said, Soolaimon, Shilo and many more.

For the avid Diamond fan, the performance of Ludy Sigrist and his eight-piece band in the wonderful acoustic and sound friendly environment of the Ipswich Civic Centre truly will be an event not to be missed.

Simon Gallaher’s Pirates of Penzance

Saturday 11 to Sunday 19 September

1.30pm and 7.30pm sessions

The most successful musical in Australian history will sail into the Civic Centre when the Ipswich Musical Theatre Company presents Simon Gallaher’s version of the Gilbert and Sullivan classic, Pirates of Penzance.

Following sold out performances of Mamma Mia, Strictly Ballroom, Les Misérables, Wicked, Mary Poppins, The Phantom of the Opera, you can join local performers as Frederic sails the seven seas in the quest to finish his pirates’ apprenticeship and capture Mabel’s heart.

Queensland Ballet Teen Unite Immersion Weekend

Friday 24 to Sunday 26 September

8.45am to 3pm

Residents aged 13-17 of all abilities have the opportunity to learn new moves for the dancefloor and beyond with a group of new friends at the Queensland Ballet Teen Unite Emersion Weekend.

Hip-hop, contemporary and ballet will be covered, alongside workshops on entrepreneurship, mentorship and wellbeing, all led by teaching artists and industry affiliates, thanks to a partnership between Queensland Ballet and Ipswich City Council.

The workshops will be held at the new administration building, Level 1, 1 Nicholas Street Precinct.
