A new cafe has popped up in Springfield, but there’s a lot about it that will be familiar to locals.
Remedy Espresso Cafe owner Mel Friedberg purchased the cafe at 11/1 Springfield Lakes Blvd when it was still known as Dark Horse Coffee and recently re-branded it for a fresh start.
She said the new name of the business reflects her philosophy about food and how it can be used as a remedy for most of life’s troubles.
Ms Friedberg said is continuing the previous cafe owners’ reputation for catering to keto, gluten-free, vegan and nut-free diets.
The nut-free kitchen sources eggs, produce, meat, bread and even honey from local suppliers and farmers and offers a seasonal menu of simple wholesome food, from house pancakes to avo on toast.
The cafe is also still dog friendly and has plenty of outdoor space for pampered pooches to relax.
Remedy Espresso Cafe is open seven days a week from 530am Monday to Friday and 730am Saturday and Sunday. They also offer takeaway breakfast options, including toasties and wraps.
