Nicholas St update: Plenty of activity across redevelopment site

Crews working on the Nicholas St redevelopment focused on concreting the floor on level three of the council administration building in the past week.

The wall and ceiling frames in the building’s end-of-trip facilities are now installed.

The climbing scaffold around the exterior of the administration building has climbed to level seven.

Crews working on the new library have completed the ceiling framing and sheeting installation is underway.

Installation of external glazing has been completed while work continues on the façade.

In the civic plaza space, installation of paving and planter walls is ongoing.

Work continues on the zero depth water play area and work on the new Bradfield Bridge walkway extension has begun.

The water jets for the play area have been installed.

The structural steel frame in the deck bar has now been completed with installation of walls and glazing the next focus.

The number of workers onsite is about 225, the largest number so far.
