THE milestones keep coming for Springfield with the area’s latest development, Springfield Rise at Spring Mountain, notching up its 1,600th lot sale.

It cements the estate’s position as one of the fastest selling areas in the Ipswich corridor.

Lendlease Communities general manager for Queensland Guy Gibson said interest in the Springfield area showed no signs of slowing.

“Springfield Rise at Spring Mountain connects directly to Lendlease’s first Springfield community, the award-winning Springfield Lakes,” Mr Gibson said.

“It launched in 2016 and will deliver about 4,000 homes on a 415-hectare site.

“It will include more than 50 hectares of open space, including 15 neighbourhood parks and bushland reserves, and neighbour the region’s largest sporting fields.”

About 400 lots ranging in size from 250 square metres to 892 square metres are currently under construction, with land priced from $167,000 for a 275 square metre block.

A new sales centre and display village is also set to open at Springfield Rise mid-2018.

“It will be the largest display village in south-east Queensland with 56 homes on display,” Mr Gibson said.

Ipswich City Council planning, development and heritage spokesman Cr David Morrison said the city continued to record strong growth.

“In the coming years, the Springfield and Ripley areas will both continue to develop strongly as our city’s population grows.

“In 2017 we welcomed 8,478 new residents to Ipswich and the city’s population is fast closing in on 210,000.

“Spring Mountain topped the list for both lots approved and created in 2017, but importantly infrastructure is keeping pace with this development which ensures a quality lifestyle for our city.”
