Abbey from BCC Cinemas Ipswich is ready for the busy holiday season.
There is something for everyone this holiday season at the movies.
An action-packed sequel to the 1995 children’s classic Jumanji will be a runaway success with families going to the movies this holiday season.
That’s the hot tip from BCC Cinemas Ipswich manager Alexis Poulsen who says Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle – starring Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black and Karen Gillan – has her excited.
The sequel has a contemporary focus with four unsuspecting teens pulled into a video game world, rather than a board game.
“I can’t wait to see it, I’ve only heard good things. The first reviews coming in are very positive and I think it will go very well with children and adults,” she said.
“A lot of adults will have fond memories of the first Jumanji movie and I think they will want to see this one with their children.”
Ms Poulsen said there was something for everyone in the mix of movies releasing this holiday season.
“There is such a wide range of movies releasing this Boxing Day and into the new year, it’s really quite exciting,” she said.
“Paddington 2, Ferdinand and The Nut Job 2 are great for the young kids. Jumanji and Coco are suited to children a bit older and are great family movies that mum and dad will enjoy just as much as the kids.
“For the adults or those looking for a date night movie give The Greatest Showman or Downsizing a go and if you’re looking for a chick flick Pitch Perfect 3 hits the right note.
“Of course there is Star Wars: The Last Jedi which opened to big crowds and will continue throughout the holidays.”
