7 things to taste-test at Christmas Wonderland 2019

With more than 50,000 lights in Nerima Gardens you could be forgiven for thinking Christmas Wonderland was all about the lights.

While it’s a major part of the experience, there is also Christmas stalls, roving entertainers and of course delicious food to enjoy.

Here’s what not to miss and what you must taste-test at Christmas Wonderland in Nerima Gardens at Queens Park when you visit.

Christmas Wonderland is open nightly until 22 December with entertainment from 6pm and the gates opening to Nerima Gardens at 7.15pm.

Christmas Roast pizza

Handmade pizza dough, wood fired oven and a generous amount of toppings make Roam’in Pizza one to visit.

They have special Christmas edition pizzas on the menu including Christmas Roast with turkey or pork and roast vegetables; cranberry, bacon and mozzarella; a Vege Merry Christmas with fresh spinach, tomato, mushroom and garden vegetables.

There’s also a Yuletide Pide featuring salami, pepperoni, rocket, feta and basil and an Aussie Christmas with baked ham, pineapple and a barbecue base.

Roam’in Pizza will be at Christmas Wonderland on From 19 to 22 December.

Cranberry and forest fruit iced tea

The Iced Tea Co has been busy whipping up a special cranberry and forest fruit blend to serve at Christmas Wonderland.

Or keep your cool with their other refreshing flavours – grapefruit, peach, mango, strawberry or lemon and lime iced tea.

They will be at Christmas Wonderland for the entire event.

Candy-cane ice cream

Ungermann Brothers have come up with three exclusive Christmas-themed flavours for Christmas Wonderland.

There’s Candy Cane, Roasted Coconut with Rum Soaked Raisins and Sweet Cherries, and Cinnamon and Christmas Pudding.

Ungermanns are also bringing the gear to create special turkey, cranberry and gravy loaded fries for the event.

Ungermann Brothers will be at Christmas Wonderland for the entire event.

New Zealand lamb burger

If you’ve got a burger-sized hunger check out High Class Burgers’ New Zealand lamb burger.

Their ethos is homestyle, fresh burgers that use 100 per cent New Zealand lamb and beef and locally baked bread buns.

They will have a special cheesemas burger, Xmas dinner steak delux, all stars sweet potato fries on the menu also.

Enjoy favourites like their barbecue flamed 250g rib steak, barbecue pork rib and crispy barra burger. Vege and gluten free burgers are also available.

High Class Burgers will be at Wonderland for the entire event.

German sausage

German sausages are the specialty of The Wiener Wagon so head here if it’s a cheesy kransky or hearty bratwurst you need to keep up your energy levels during the night.

The Weiner Wagon will be at Christmas Wonderland for the entire event.

Specialty Leaf and Berry coffee

At the Little Nessie coffee van you’ll be able to grab a delicious hot or cold coffee from Leaf and Berry.

They will also be bringing along some traditional shortbread, tea cakes, chocolate wafers and muffins.

Little Nessie will be available from Thursday 19 December to Sunday 22 December.

Light bulb lemonade

Check out the stall selling lemonade in light bulbs that light up.

There’s a bunch of different flavours like raspberry, blueberry and tropical that come in a reusable light bulb.

Light Lemonade will be at Christmas Wonderland for the entire event.
