Bluey and Bingo are coming to Ipswich

Wackadoo! Everyone’s favourite Blue Heeler, Bluey, and her little sister, Bingo, will visit Ipswich’s Tulmur Place on Friday 8 April 2022 for a special school holiday Live Interactive Experience.

Ipswich Central Redevelopment Committee Chairperson Councillor Marnie Doyle said it is a fantastic opportunity for local families to see the stars of the number one Australian children’s series, Bluey, in person for smiles and plenty of flossing.

“I am certain families across Ipswich will be incredibly excited to catch this adorable duo and their friends on stage during the school holidays for two very special Live Interactive Experiences,” Cr Doyle said.

“Families can save their dollar bucks with this free event and look forward to playing Magic Asparagus, Magic Xylophone, Keepy Uppy and more with Australia’s favourite Heeler duo.

“I encourage parents and carers to arrive early to find a good spot in front of the Tulmur Place stage.

“Ipswich Children’s Library is also running an online draw for up to ten families to meet Bluey and Bingo in person at a ‘Meet and Greet’. Visit the Ipswich Libraries website for more information and to enter before 5pm Sunday 3 April.”

George, Councillor Marnie Doyle and Biljana are excited for Bluey’s visit during the school holidays.

Bluey follows the adventures of a lovable and inexhaustible six-year-old Blue Heeler who lives with her dad, mum and four-year-old sister, Bingo.

In every episode, Bluey uses her limitless Blue Heeler energy to play elaborate games that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways.

Separate to the Bluey character appearances, Councillor Doyle said there is plenty for families to do and enjoy in the Nicholas Street Precinct these school holidays, including a free temporary putt-putt course for all ages to enjoy.

“An African Safari will transform Tulmur Place with life-size animatronic mini-golf from Monday 4 to Saturday 9 April,” Cr Doyle said.

“The nine-hole course will feature zebras, elephants, giraffes, rhinos and more in a fun-filled challenge for the whole family.

“There will also be food trucks on weekdays, the zero-depth water play zone, a skateboarding workshop, free weekday three-hour parking and more than 35,000 books to browse in the Ipswich Children’s Library along with a range of free library activities in and around the precinct.”
