What do naked magicians, Jimeoin, women facing menopause and cabaret performer Geraldine Turner have in common? Answer – they are all headed for the Ipswich Civic Centre in 2018.

The centre’s latest digital program, showcasing the wide range of shows on offer from January to July, is available now.

Check out the program for all the details. In the meantime, here’s a taste of what you can expect from some of the acts headed our way.

Turner’s Turn

Turner’s Turn is a celebration of Geraldine Turner’s incredible life on stage and marks her first cabaret performance in more than 10 years. This intimate evening of songs from her celebrated career, peppered with show business anecdotes and stories (and there are some great stories to tell), is a rare opportunity to see one of Australia’s most beloved stage performers, up close and personal, in an intimate setting.

Jimeoin

Jimeoin is acclaimed as one of the hottest stand-up comics of this generation – a true comedy master. From the ridiculous to the hilarious, come and see Jimeoin’s new show as he takes you into the brain of one of the world’s best stand-up comedians and masters of observational humour.

The naked magicians

Seen on London’s West End, in 200+ cities around the world, and by over 50 million on TV, The Naked Magicians is undoubtedly the world’s funniest and naughtiest magic show. The show features magic, mirth and more than a touch of mayhem as these two hot and hilarious Aussie magicians say abracadabra and take magic to a whole new level.

Menopause the Musical

Menopause The Musical returns to the stage with new songs, new dance routines, new gags, and a new producer. The all-new Menopause The Musical – Women on Fire! follows the story of four women who meet at a lingerie sale and discover they have plenty in common, including memory loss, night sweats, hot flushes, too much sex, not enough sex and much more!

Paris Underground

Draw the curtain on a stage that will darkly seduce and intoxicate with a moveable feast of magic, song, dance, burlesque, comedy, circus and cabaret. A blend of surprises and visual attractions of international renown. Paris Underground is a subversion of a classic French cabaret and variety show. The production brings together a diverse range of performers including the rare magic of Julia Madotti, one of Australia’s few female illusionists.
