Springfield Lakes Nature Care is holding a tree planting event on Sunday July 28 Regatta Lake to celebrate National Tree Day. The event will help revegetate the lake and provide habitat for our small birds. The event will commence at 2 pm and will conclude at 3.30 pm with afternoon tea. SLNC will provide the gardening tools and gloves. Please wear a hat and closed in shoes and bring a watering can or bucket. There is no off street parking, so please park in Discovery Park which is on the corner of Parkview Drive and Springfield Lakes Boulevard.

It’s Plastic Free July and if you want to make a real impact this month, please donate your Plastic Beverage Bottles & Coex Containers, cans, glass bottles, small tetra pak juice or flavoured milk containers to Springfield Lakes Nature Care Inc. We’ll be holding a one off Collection Point at Discovery Park car park from 2 pm to 3.30 pm on Sunday July 28th. In return we’ll give you our “Choose to Refuse” gift bag.
