It’s market day at Springfield. Hop on down to Robelle Domain Parklands for an afternoon treat, browse through local talented artists and crafters, shop for homewares and enjoy dinner with family and friends from food trucks and multicultural stalls.

Eddie Gazani

While originally from the heartland of sunshine, music and soul – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Eddie Gazani who now resides in Australia, brings the Latin grooves of his home to his unique sounds.

Inspired by a love of poetry and music from a young age, he threads the themes of love, politics and humanism into his lyrics. While also a true love for performing traditional music like forro, samba and standard jazz from the golden age of jazz and Brazilian popular music. His unique sound will be complimented by his phenomenal band. Come and witness a myriad of rhythms and arrangements of well-loved Jazz, Brazilian and original tunes.

First 5 Forever - Toddler Time

Share rhymes, stories, songs and movement to support your active toddler’s emerging language and social skills. Everyone is welcome at our free Toddler Time sessions, on the first Friday of the month at 9.30am. Toddler Time is ideal for children aged 18 months to three years.

Built for Speed

Design, build and race your Lego hot rod, dragster or supercar down rad ramps and slick tracks. Modify your ride for extra speed then re-race your turbocharged wheels for ultimate victory.

WHEN: 10am-5pm daily, until February 18

WHERE: Ipswich Art Gallery, d’Arcy Doyle Place, Nicholas St, Ipswich

COST: $5 per person or $15 for a family pass (admits up to five people. Must include at least one adult). Free for under 2s.

Wriggle and Rhyme

Exploring language through movement. Bounce, clap, wiggle and giggle to fun rhymes, songs and stories with older babies. Ages 6-18 months with mums, dads and/or carers. They’re held the first Friday and second Wednesday of the month.

19th & 20th Century Works

View some of the finest pieces from the Ipswich Art Gallery’s collection of 19th and early 20th century fine art and folk art, as well as contemporary works reflecting Ipswich’s heritage.

Race Ya Mate

Race Ya Mate events are to cater for any individuals who wish to race their vehicles down the 1/4 mile. Entry is on the day at the gate.

WHEN: Gates open at 5.30pm and runs commence at 6pm

WHERE: Willowbank Raceway

COST: $50 to race, $20 for spectators and children under 13 are free

Railway Swimming Club

Railway Swimming Club is a family friendly club run by volunteers. Races are for kickboard swimmers through to Seniors.

WHEN: Friday nights at 7pm

WHERE: Georgie Conway Swim Centre, Toongarra Road, Leichhardt

COST: Pool entry free with membership. Membership fee is $50 for the six month season
