Ipswich rates notices set to be delivered

Delivery of the latest Ipswich City Council rates notices has begun.

CEO David Farmer said email versions of quarterly rates notices would start appearing in ratepayers’ inboxes from Thursday (9 April) afternoon, and mailed versions would arrive in people’s letterboxes from next week.

“We understand that this is a difficult time for some people,” Mr Farmer said.

“If you are suffering financial difficulties, please contact the council’s call centre on 3810 6666 to discuss your personal circumstances.

“We have provisions in place to help people with payment plans.”

Council is working hard to ensure the maintenance of public services at this important time, while playing a key role in the local management of the COVID-19 emergency.

Council coordinates the Local Disaster Management Committee and a number of staff have been seconded to West Moreton Health to assist in contact tracing.
