Three new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Queensland today along with two cases already in hotel quarantine.

One case was the partner of the International Airport case reported yesterday.

The new case is the initial source of these infections, and they both have the Delta variant.

The other two are a mother and daughter who reside in Carindale.

As they have been out in the community, the lockdown in Brisbane will remain in place while contact tracers continue their work.

It is not yet known how or if they are linked to the other clusters.
