125th Queensland Eisteddfod

The City of Ipswich is proud to host the 125th Queensland Eisteddfod, which will be held across the Easter weekend in 2018, providing performance opportunities for aspiring and established artists in choral and vocal disciplines.

Increased prize money is on offer for the Aria, Art Song, Music Theatre, Oratorio and Championships sections.

COST: $10 for a single session, $30 for the season ticket. various prices and concessions available. Tickets much be purchased from the venue on Eisteddfod days.
Santo’s Super Thunder
Santo’s Super Thunder is the fourth round of the Australian Top Fuel Championship to be held right there at Willowbank Raceway in Ipswich. A whole day of action packed Drag Racing and family fun.

Springfield Markets
It’s market day at Springfield. Hop on down to Robelle Domain Parklands for an afternoon treat, browse through local talented artists and crafters, shop for homewares and enjoy dinner with family and friends from food trucks and multicultural stalls.

Mums, Dads and Bubs
The Springfield Mums, Dads and Bubs runners group aim to get parents out of the house and meeting with other parents.

Railway Swimming Club
Railway Swimming Club is a family friendly club run by volunteers. Races are for kickboard swimmers through to Seniors.

GYS YOUTH BBQ
The Goodna Youth Service exists to empower young people in their communities, to maximize their potential in the face of the barriers or challenges to positive living.

Eighty8 Hip Hop
End the working week with a bang with hip ho classes for beginners. Fun, easy and cheap. Open to all levels of dance and to those with no experience at all. Taught by one of New Zealand’s finest dancers so you will definitely be promised a great session week after week.

ANZAC: Photographs by Laurence Aberhart
ANZAC is the result of acclaimed New Zealand photographer Laurence Aberhart’s thirty year journey photographing World War One Memorials across New Zealand and Australia.
Focusing on the lone ‘digger’ memorials Aberhart’s photographs chart a seemingly simple pathway through the landscapes of these two nations, reflecting the scale the conflict had on these regions.
This exhibition is presented to coincide with the centenary anniversary of the end of the First World War.
