Salvation Army and Brothers Leagues get support

IPSWICH City Council has agreed to support another two significant community events in 2018.

The Salvation Army and Brothers Leagues Club will receive council’s support.

Economic Development and Digital City committee chairman Cr Paul Tully said both organisations made an on-going and a valuable contribution to the city.

“The Salvos deserve our support to assist with their local Red Shield Appeal fundraising launch to be held on 2 May 2018.

“Brothers Leagues Club’s Australia Day Celebrations will also be supported in 2018.

“Council’s event sponsorship program develops a strong network of community connectedness and identity.

“It also provides accessibility to services and facilities that contribute to both social and economic well-being,” Cr Tully said.

The Salvation Army will receive a contribution of $2,500 and Brothers League Club $500.

Full sponsorship guidelines and eligible organisations are available on council’s website www.ipswich.qld.gov.au
