Ipswich families are set for a school holiday extravaganza, with mini golf, stars on stage, guided dancing sessions and food trucks in the Nicholas Street Precinct this June and July.
Arriving direct from Tarabiscoville, the headline act featuring Catboy, Owlette and Gekko from the popular children’s program PJ Masks, will be visiting Tulmur Place at Nicholas Street Precinct for a week-long, live interactive show.
Children will learn the secrets of defeating night villains through song and dance to discover the true meaning of being a hero.
These fun family friendly activities will be occurring alongside Ipswich Children’s Library opening events which include the Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Show, Jay Laga’aia live on stage, Geckoes Wildlife Encounter and Guru Dudu Silent Disco Tour.
Mayor Teresa Harding said council is committed to providing school holiday entertainment at-cost or free.
“It’s been wonderful to see so many families enjoying the water play area, events and green spaces in Tulmur Place this year,” Mayor Harding said.
“Ipswich now has a world class city centre, and our children and young people are bringing Nicholas Street to life.”
Ipswich’s very own Jazzy J The Magician will also be at the Nicholas Street Precinct on Tuesday 29 June and Thursday 1 July from 10am to 2pm keeping children entertained with balloon twisting and magic tricks.
The mini-golf course will be in full swing from Monday 28 June to Wednesday 30 of June 10am to 3pm, as well as Friday 2 July from 10am to 2pm and PJ Masks shows will run from Monday 5 July to Friday 9 of July with daily shows at 9am, 10am and 11am.
The Ipswich Children’s Library opening events will run from Monday 28 June to Saturday 3 July.
Food trucks will also be available at Nicholas Street Precinct throughout the school holidays.
