The new look Visit Ipswich website showcases Ipswich’s defining heritage, nature, festivals, food, nightlife, adventure, art and culture attractions and experiences.
Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding said Visit Ipswich, which is a refresh of the Discover Ipswich website, is a one-stop to build the perfect itinerary for exploring Ipswich.
“More than 280 businesses and experiences are featured on Visit Ipswich, putting our surging $460 million tourism industry in the spotlight,” Mayor Harding said.
“Visit Ipswich allows residents and tourists to explore accommodation, restaurants, attractions, experiences and events, helping visitors to stay longer, explore more deeply and consider Ipswich as more than a day trip destination.
“Features including an interactive map, deals page, dedicated precinct pages, a ‘What’s On’ section, itinerary ideas, image galleries, booking function, transport information and an easy-to-use search take the stress out of trip planning.
“The website has details on major attractions such as Queensland Pioneer Steam Railway, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Flinders – Goolman Conservation Estate, Floating Images Hot Air Balloon Flights, Ivorys Rock, Queensland Museum Rail Workshops, Ipswich Art Gallery, Hidden Vale Adventure Park, Spicers Hidden Vale and much, much more.
“Information on major events such as CMC Rocks, Supercars, Winternationals, Ipswich Cup, SPARK Ipswich Arts Festival, Planes, Trains and Autos, Christmas in Ipswich and Galvanized – A Festival of Heritage are also available at the click of a button.”
Mayor Harding said with more than two million visitors per year, Ipswich’s reputation as a top South East Queensland tourism and events destination continued to grow.
