Retailers in Ipswich’s Nicholas St precinct will spread the Christmas cheer on Sunday when they host a special VIP shopping event.

The VIP Christmas Shopping Event will go from 2pm to 4pm with several stores offering special one-day, limited time offers for customers.

As well, there will be complimentary drinks and nibbles, with 150 exclusive gift bags filled with goodies available for the first 150 customers.

Trottie Becke owner Alexis Cornish said she was looking forward to spoiling customers with special offers and celebrating the festive season.

“We’ll be adding a few more Christmas bits and pieces, I’m making cupcakes and we’ll have bubbly to serve, it will be a lot of fun,” she said.

The llama is the new unicorn this festive season, and Trottie Becke’s coloured llama pots are sure to be a huge hit this Christmas.

“Our pots are huge for Christmas so we think they’ll be a big hit,” Ms Cornish said.

The funky and brightly painted pots are sure to be at the top of any trendsetter’s wish list.

Trottie Becke is offering customers 20 per cent off all full-priced clothing and silver jewellery for the VIP shopping event as well as 10 per cent off all pots.

The store is also running a competition to celebrate 25 years of business in the Nicholas St precinct, if customers spend $25 or more in store up until 20 December they will go in the draw to win a $250 gift card.

As part of the competition, Trottie Becke is offering customers an event-exclusive Christmas bonus.

“At the one-day-only special event if customers spend $25 or more they’ll get double entries in the draw,” Ms Cornish said.
