What to expect at Ecco Ripley’s first home expo

Ecco Ripley is bringing the best of the best to its first Home Expo on Saturday 17 August.

Packed with interactive workshops and demonstrations the expo will provide inspiration for homemakers, advice on home ownership and plenty of DIY fun family activities to do at home.

Media star and Gold Logie nominated TV presenter, Andrew Winter from Foxtel’s Selling Houses Australia and Love It or List It, will provide home buying tips and valuable local market insights.

Online sensation, The Organised Housewife, Katrina Springer, will be on stage to share her much sought-after kitchen organising tips and demonstrate how to make DIY eco-cleaning products.

For those in the housing market or looking for styling inspiration, a number of furnished and unfurnished display homes will be open for inspection, with the interactive Colorbond Steel Discovery Van and Laminex Design Hub on site to help with colours and ideas.

Queensland state sales manager Scott Blaney said the expo will provide something for everyone including workshops on gardening, cooking and DIY skincare and a step-by-step workshop on how to make your own Japanese kokedama plant.

“We are excited to present this wide range of activities and workshops for the community at our first ever Home Expo at Ecco Ripley,” he said.

“Everyone’s favourite local cafe, Eco Shot is running a barista workshop with tips on making the perfect coffee at home, and BOQ Springfield will be on hand to answer any finance questions.”

There is also plenty to keep the kids entertained including cupcake decorating, face painting and balloon twisting.

“Everyone is welcome to come along to enjoy live music, giveaways, competitions and the River 94.9FM Confidence Cruisers will be stopping by.

“The expo is a great opportunity to see everything that Ecco Ripley has to offer and provides the chance for people to discover the range of homes available including ready-to-move in, three-bedroom homes selling from $329,000 and registered land from $174,000,” Mr Blaney said.

Entry to the event and workshop participation is free, however some workshops require prior registration. Head here to register for workshops.
