What’s on at Ipswich Civic Centre this February

A mix of musical performances will keep audiences entertained this February at the Ipswich Civic Centre.

First up on 8 February is one of Australia’s favourite singers, Karen Knowles.

A gold and platinum award winner, Knowles was star of the musical Big River and lead singer with The Seekers in the early 1990s.

Knowles started her career on Young Talent Time and became the highest selling Australian female recording artist for two consecutive years.

Her best known hits include Why Won’t You ExplainYou are the ReasonBy RequestLa Vie en RoseAmazing Grace and Moonglow.

On 14 February, audiences will be treated to a special Valentine’s Day tribute celebrating the songs and story of Michael Bublé.

International front man and comedian Rhydian Lewis, leads his amazing big band The Residuals to deliver one of the finest tributes to this musical sensation.

The show includes a stellar line up of Bublé’s biggest hits including, The Way You Look Tonight, Home, Everything, Lost, Sway, Save The Last Dance For Me, It Had better be Tonight, Moondance, Haven’t Met You Yet, Feeling Good, Cry Me A River, and many more.

Laugh, hear stories, and be moved by some of life’s truly touching music. Special guest star Melissa Western performs some of Bublés finest duets with Lewis.

On 29 February, Ipswich will welcome one of Australia’s most in-demand live singing drag queens, the six-foot something songstress Prada Clutch, as she plays Goddess of Pop, Cher.

It’s all a part of the show Les Divas: An all-male revue which is set on the Las Vegas Strip.

Alongside Cher, the show features impersonations of some of the world’s greatest divas including Barbara Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and Diana Ross.

The show is creatively directed by one of Australia’s original divas from Les Girls of Kings Cross, Monique Kelly. Kelly was a cast member of Les Girls from 1973 to 1997.

The show features a cast of seven.

Hits performed on the night will include If I Could Turn Back Time, Get The Party Started, Proud Mary, I Will Always Love You and I’m Coming Out.
