Bassim Qassab and Dave Andrews will share their experiences on Thursday, 11 October.
Mr Qassab is an Iraqi Christian who fled Iraq after the ISIS occupation of Mosul and sought a new life in Australia.
Mr Andrews is an Australian Christian anarchist author, speaker, social activist and community worker.
Ipswich City Council Library Services Manager Sylvia Swalling said Living Books was about people telling their stories.
“The Living Books series provides the opportunity to hear first-hand experiences and views from people who are at the front line of the topical issues of our time,” she said.
“This Living Books series explores respect, religion and cultural diversity and we are delighted to have Bassim Qassab and Dave Andrews as volume one of a three-volume series.
“Living Books is one of a range of programs and events that Ipswich Libraries hosts to engage our community.
“Events like these provide authentic information, insight and knowledge to help people understand and succeed in the modern world.”
