The Alchemy Street Choir is a Community Choir and is a social inclusion project proudly supported by Ipswich City Council. Under the Musical Direction of Melissa Blacksell, The Alchemy Street Choir performs to diverse communities and at both Council and Private events. The Alchemy Street Choir performs at Aged Care Facilities, Hospitals and Respite Centres along with Churches, Schools, Not-For-Profit Organisations and other places in the Ipswich Community.

There are a lot of choirs in Ipswich, but The Alchemy Street Choir is the only choir directly supported by The Ipswich City Council.  Members are proud of being part of The Ipswich City Council’s program and is an invaluable part of the Community Development portfolio.

The Alchemy Street Choir brings together individuals from different backgrounds, cultures and age groups around a common love of music and friendship.

Studio 188 is proud to present a wonderful example of community in harmony, social connection and friendship in a special ‘one night’ performance.

Complimentary tea, coffee and a light supper will be provided after the performance.
