Ipswich Show is one of the biggest events of the Ipswich calendar. The massive event will run over the next three days. Head on down to the show grounds on this public holiday and be entertained.

Free entry at The Workshops Rail Museum

The Workshops Rail Museum is celebrating International Museum Day by offering free entry all day. Drop in and see the collection and experience some of the museum’s fantastic family favourites including train simulators, model railway and children’s adventure playground.

Stargazing at North Ipswich

Enjoy a night under the stars and explore the natural luminosity of Ipswich’s beautiful night sky. Brisbane Astronomical Society will provide telescopes for you to explore and identify the stars to unlock the secrets of the observable universe.

Ipswich Artists: works from the Collection

See the diversity and skill of local Ipswich artists in this display featuring works that have been acquired for the Ipswich Art Gallery Collection.

Artists featured are Gary Abkin, Tim Acutt, Chenaya Bancroft-Davis, Annie Clarke, Donna Davis, Charmaine Davis, Mieke den Otter, Colleen Gardener, Angela Geertsma, Sally Harrison, Lizzett Kim, Wayne McDonnell, Sharon McKenzie, Deb Mostert, Kate Roberts, Andrew Spark and Helen Vere. Many of the pieces displayed have been acquired through the Ipswich Art Awards over the past 15 years and are shown in conjunction with this year’s Ipswich Festival.

19th & 20th Century Works

View some of the finest pieces from the Ipswich Art Gallery’s collection of 19th and early 20th century fine art and folk art, as well as contemporary works reflecting Ipswich’s heritage.

The Classics at Brothers

This duo has the wow factor. Jeff Camilleri and Leigh Pryce are seasoned performers who have worked the club circuit for many years amazing audiences with their outstanding vocal abilities and flawless musical performances.
