Come and Try Canoeing session

Enjoy some water fun – hire a canoe and paddle along the water’s edge at Colleges Crossing Recreation Reserve. If you have never tried canoeing before, this is your chance to see how you fare on the water. Canoes, equipment, safety devices and instructions will be provided before you paddle. Ticket holders also receive a free icecream from Colleges by the River Cafe – please present your ticket at the cafe to redeem.

Hudsons Circus

A unique style circus show for the whole family featuring the Brazilian globe of death motorcycle stunt riders, acts and animals.

WHEN: 11am – final show

WHERE: Orion Shopping Centre, Sirius Drive, Springfield Central

COST: adults from $25, children from $15

Fun Run

Springfield Runners Group is holding a Fun Run within the Springfield Robelle Domain, to raise much needed funds and awareness for Trail To Triumphs fight against mesothelioma. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to walk/crawl/jog/dance/run as many kilometres as they can. Both teams and individuals are welcome.

WHEN: 5.15am onwards

WHERE: The Circle, Robelle Domain, Springfield Lakes (outside Breakfast at Stephanies)

COST: $5 donation for every 5 kilometres run, cash only.

Underworld

Descend into Sydney’s seedy underworld in a new photographic exhibition revealing the dark side of the Roaring Twenties.

Explore more than 130 candid and compelling mugshots taken by New South Wales Police between 1920 and 1930. Known as the ‘Specials’, they are unlike any found elsewhere in the world.

Immerse yourself in all things Underworld with the stunning accompanying book and an exciting line-up of talks and tours.

View some of the finest pieces from the Ipswich Art Gallery’s collection of 19th and early 20th century fine art and folk art, as well as contemporary works reflecting Ipswich’s heritage.

Ipswich Showplace Markets

The Ipswich Showplace Markets are held every Sunday at the Ipswich Showgrounds. They are open to the public between 6am and 11:30am.

Stallholders currently sell a range of items, both new and second hand. They range from toys, clothes, books, plants, household items, DVDs and CDs, art, craft, tools, hardware, services, fruit and vegetables, ice-cream, hot food, coffee and more.

Afternoon tennis for over 35s

Ipswich Veterans Tennis Association hosts afternoon tennis for over 35s each Sunday. Contact the association on 0418 154 903.

English-Spanish Church

Fountain of Eternal Life Christian Church (Iglesia Fuente De Vida Externa) serves the Latin America community in Springfield Central and surrounding communities. Services are held weekly.
