The Ipswich Regional Branch of  The National Trust of Australia (Queensland) proudly presents Trust Talks in Ipswich.

One of Queensland’s leading authorities on Heritage Architecture Dr Don Watson presents Four Ipswich Architectural Dynasties.

Since the 1850’s, Ipswich has been blessed with architects of creativity and renown who have influenced our built heritage and left their unique legacy.

Learn more about the people who have given us some of the Great Houses of Ipswich.

Underworld

Descend into Sydney’s seedy underworld in a new photographic exhibition revealing the dark side of the Roaring Twenties.

Explore more than 130 candid and compelling mugshots taken by New South Wales Police between 1920 and 1930. Known as the ‘Specials’, they are unlike any found elsewhere in the world.

Immerse yourself in all things Underworld with the stunning accompanying book and an exciting line-up of talks and tours.

Slapdash Galaxy - a bunk puppets show for the whole family

Two brothers embark on an epic quest to find a new home planet. This is the tale of Sam and Junior: two brothers, who must flee their barren planet, and embark on an epic quest across the galaxy. Using the contents of your cleaning cupboard, Bunk Puppets’ David Geddes conjures up astonishing lo-fi theatrical wizardry using only old boxes, bubble wrap, drinking straws, tennis balls, ping pong bats and old toys. It’s a crazy shadow puppet universe, made from bits of rubbish.

Ipswich Showplace Markets

The Ipswich Showplace Markets are held every Sunday at the Ipswich Showgrounds. They are open to the public between 6am and 11:30am.

Stallholders currently sell a range of items, both new and second hand. They range from toys, clothes, books, plants, household items, DVDs and CDs, art, craft, tools, hardware, services, fruit and vegetables, ice-cream, hot food, coffee and more.

Afternoon tennis for over 35s

Ipswich Veterans Tennis Association hosts afternoon tennis for over 35s each Sunday. Contact the association on 0418 154 903.

COST: Membership $45 per year, $5 court fees on the day

English-Spanish Church

Fountain of Eternal Life Christian Church (Iglesia Fuente De Vida Externa) serves the Latin America community in Springfield Central and surrounding communities. Services are held weekly.
